Trophy Wife

I illustrated a story for Little Foolery in December 2023! Get it HERE

I’m alive!

Just took a long break from Internet Posting for life reasons as well as closing my patreon (temporarily). Will be resuming updating this with art.

Cool things that have happened in the meantime:

  • My book finally came out! You can buy Mage and the Endless Unknown wherever books are sold!! It’s already getting a second printing and made it onto multiple best of 2023 lists (which I collected here). Absolutely wild. Thank you to everyone who grabbed a copy.
  • My newest horror short, CIRCADIAN, was released during the 2023 ShortBox Comic’s Fair! It was nominated for the 2024 Minicomic Award for horror and is now available again for purchase on itch.io. PLUS my 2022 comic, TO HELL, is now pay what you want! HERE
  • I’ll be making a new comic for 2024’s ShortBox Comic’s Fair! It’s my third year doing it and I am so excited. Currently in production is IMPASTO, an Edwardian era horror comic about a valet that’s been cursed by the paintings in an English country house. I hope you’ll look forward to it.

Upcoming Projects! *updated*

Mage and the Endless Unknown out July 18th August 1st!

Mage’s release was delayed last month due to shipping, but now it’s finally here (again!). I got my advance copy last month and the book is gorgeous. There’s less than one week left to pre-order!

*update* The books are taking their sweet time getting here, so there’s been another delay, hopefully the last one! You’ll be able to hold Mage in your hands on August 1st, I hope you’ll continue to look forward to it.

Circadian / Shortbox Comics Fair

The Shortbox Comics Fair approaches! My new short horror comic Circadian will be available for purchase along with a ton of other new digital comics this October. You can check out a five page preview over on my patreon.

Mystery Project?

I’m doing the color for a new graphic novel series! Don’t think I can give any more info than that, but I’m having a lot of fun with it.

Mage and The Endless Unknown – Press & Pre-order

The cover art for Mage and the Endless Unknown

Mage and the Endless Unknown’s release is approaching and you can currently pre-order it!! What!!

Mage featured around the web:

A bit shocked by all this, especially the starred review from Kirkus(!?!). I’ll add more links if somehow there are more links to add!

To Hell – now on itch.io!

The horror comic I made for the Shortbox Comics Fair is now available again! On itch.io this time! Extended Preview (on twitter)

Still feeling out itch.io’s layout, but it’s good enough for now.

The comics page has been updated to include it and the comic I did for the Heartwood Anthology back in 2018.

SB Fair’s over! and other stuff

Thank you to everyone who got a copy of To Hell! I was blown away by the response to this comic, I can’t express my gratitude enough. It’s currently available to download on patreon in the early access tier (link in links page) and I’m looking into storefronts like itchio to make it available again in the future (and maybe physical copies? maybe!).

To Hell is the kind of work I would like to continue to make and to see that there is an audience for it is very encouraging.

MAGE and the Endless Unknown is now complete and you can read it from start to finish on the main site. It’s the longest comic I’ve made! The graphic novel (coming out next year, possibly! official release date pending) will have updated and revised art that is exclusive to the printed edition.

It’s important to me that people can read the original version and see how loose and rough the art got towards the end on some of these chapters, considering they were drawn in a month lol. I can still feel my sore hand when I look at the final page of part two.

The biggest challenge for the final two chapters was trying to make the format changes of the preview three feel purposeful, like it made sense when read together as a whole. I don’t know if I would have approached it this way if Iron Circus hadn’t reached out to publish it, but I think the comic is better for it.

I’m on cohost! I try to keep an eye on any upstart social media and this one is the most promising I’ve tried in terms of features, stated goals, and community. It’s actually fun to be on, incredible. Remains to be seen if it’ll last, but I certainly hope it does.

Comics? Comics!

October is here! Two new comics??

The Shortbox Comics Fair has begun and you can now grab a copy of my 38 page horror comic To Hell! There’s 100 new debut comics by amazing independent artists to check out only during October, I still can’t quite get over being a part of it.

The final magetober is also here and I’ll be posting Part 5 of MAGE, a page a day, all through October on twitter. The pages will show up in chunks on the main comic site later in the month.

The ending was drawn in November 2019 due to the comic being picked up by Iron Circus, so this will be the first October since 2018 where I am not frantically drawing a page a day haha.

To Hell – preview *updated*

UPDATE: The comic is complete! I’ve added more snapshots below. See you in October!

The last two months, I’ve been working on a new short comic to debut at the Shortbox Comics Fair this October! It’s a horror story about a monk serving his lord. A preview of the pencils for the first handful of pages is on patreon.

been putting small snapshots up on twitter as I work and compiled them all here:
